Clinical Nurse Specialist - Breast Care Service at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, Bay of Plenty

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced and dedicated senior registered nurse to join the Breast Service at Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty. You will have proven expertise in breast care nursing and be able to provide leadership to other nurses. The Clinical Nurse specialist takes a lead role in management of the patients within surgical, non-surgical and Faster Cancer treatment pathways. About the Team/Service/ Location

This is a District -wide position providing care to breast service patients at both Tauranga and Whakatane Hospitals. This is a unique opportunity for a motivated specialist nurse to inspire and guide a committed team, while driving positive clinical outcomes and improving patient care.

About you

You will be a dynamic leader, a strong problem solver, and a critical thinker with the following desirable qualities:

  • Experience in acute and planned care hospital nursing is desirable.
  • Demonstrated experience and success as a breast care specialty nurse.
  • Outstanding communication skills, with the ability to support patients, whānau, and staff, while building strong relationships with stakeholders.
  • Passionate about leveraging team strengths to foster collaboration, resilience, and excellence in care.
  • An intention for ensuring an operationally safe and evidenced based practice environment in partnership with patients and Whanau to achieve their health goals.
  • A strong commitment to collaborating with Māori to address service inequities.
  • Demonstrate an understanding of Health Targets and leading in a specialty service environment.
