He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
We are excited to announce that we have two permanent positions available for new graduate midwives to commence their careers and join our efficient and caring team at the Maternity Unit at Tauranga Hospital. These positions are 0.8FTE, working 64 hours per fortnight and will commence in February 2023.
On successful completion of the Midwifery First Year of Practice Programme employment as a Registered Midwife will continue with Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty.
We offer a comprehensive New Graduate Midwifery programme, including ongoing preceptorship and exciting professional development opportunities. You will be a part of a supportive team of midwives and nurses whilst you put the skills you have acquired into practice. Hours will be working rostered shifts.
The Ministry of Health Voluntary Bonding Scheme is available to those graduates who are interested. This scheme offers financial incentive to graduates who have a commitment to working in the Bay of Plenty region.
He Kōrero mōu - About You
You will have successfully completed your midwifery education and hold an Annual Practicing Certificate issued by the Midwifery Council as you commence your first year of practice as a midwife.
