Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The Inpatient Physiotherapy and Occupational Therapy team at Tauranga Hospital are looking for an enthusiastic Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist to join their inpatient team.
This position offers a fantastic opportunity to optimise patient outcomes and facilitate supported discharges with an interdisciplinary lens. This role offers flexible hours with an aim to cover the service between 11am to 8pm across any five days out of the whole week.
You will provide interdisciplinary cover to Surgical Admissions Unit and Post Anesthetic Care Unit as well as join our existing inpatient and weekend service and cover a wide range of clinical areas (critical care, general surgery, medical, orthopaedic and neurological).
You will work closely with the wider Allied Health team in an interdisciplinary model to manage the patient's journey and ensure they are receiving efficient, patient-centred care.

He Korero Mōu - About You
You will be a New Zealand registered Physiotherapist or Occupational Therapist with a current annual practicing certificate. Ideally you would have inpatient hospital experience and sound knowledge of working interdisciplinary. You will have excellent clinical and problem-solving skills and an ability to communicate effectively with health professionals, health agencies, tangata whaiora/ clients and whānau.
