Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne.  We serve a population of approximately 259,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki.  Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.

We currently have multiple positions available for nurses, working on a casual basis within our Internal Nursing Bureau at Whakatāne Hospital, with no set days or shifts.

This role offers lots of variety, every day is different. The Duty Nurse Manager deploys you to work throughout the hospital in response to short notice leave and for variance response. 

To begin with we require a good knowledge base, and we will orientate you to our specialty areas. This role is a good opportunity for you to broaden your knowledge and increase your scope for future career opportunities. 

He Kōrero mōu - About You

We are looking for Registered Nurses who are self-motivated, adaptable and have recent experience in a variety of acute clinical settings including medical, surgical, orthopaedics. Experience in ICU/HDU, ED, Paediatrics, Maternity and/or Special Care Baby Unit would be a bonus but is not essential.
