He Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role

We have an exciting full-time opportunity for an Occupational Therapist/Case Manager with Mental Health experience to join our Mental Health Services for Older People (MHSOP) Community Team

The focus is to deliver high quality care to the growing population in the Bay of Plenty. At the heart of our services are our CARE values – Compassion, All-one-team, Responsive and Excellence.

You will work with the Tauranga community MHSOP services, as well as the Tauranga based inpatient MHSOP ward, health partners, referred clients, their families/whānau and the community to provide psychoeducational groups, one to one assessment and support, and provision of assessments to assist clients to maintain independence and safety.

We have a commitment to working in partnership and collaboration with consumers, family/whānau and the community. 

He korero mōu - About You

The successful applicant will be required to have an excellent understanding of mental health conditions, the Mental Health Act, PPPR Act, understanding of capacity assessment work up, a range of therapeutic modalities, dementia/delirium care.

The successful applicant will have a minimum of 3 years post graduate mental health experience, preferably with experience in older person's mental health
