O&G Registrar - Advanced Trainee at Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty, Bay of Plenty

In line with the National Recruitment Programme, we have an advanced training position for a Senior O&G Registrar available from January 2024. We are very keen to hear from Obstetrics & Gynaecology Registrars who are interested in generalist advanced training posts.
He kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
The successful candidate would likely spend 6 months completing Generalist gynae ATM and 6 months completing generalist Obstetric ATM, with access to scanning sessions at local scanning facility.
The on-call would involve a 1:7 roster of long days, weekends and nights.
The positions offer ample opportunity for independent practice with consultant oversight. We would expect active involvement in education and audit.
This role suits an advanced trainee interested in pursuing a career in general Obstetrics and Gynaecology and is targeted at level 5/6 trainees. Trainees who have completed their core training (or intend to by January 2023) are encouraged to apply.
The roster is not onerous and will allow you time to explore beautiful Tauranga and Mount Maunganui, with surfing, mountain biking and hot pools providing a fantastic work life balance.

Mō Tātou – About Us
Tauranga Hospital has a moderate sized O&G department with 10 O&G SMOs, 2100 births per year and access to advanced gynaecological operating. We have a supportive department with dedicated education sessions. Successful candidates would have the benefit of working in a supportive unit, with the opportunity to supervise junior staff, undertake clinics and attend theatre sessions to consolidate operating skills.
Te Whatu Ora - Health New Zealand, Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is spread across a vast geographical area and centred across two hospitals based in Tauranga and Whakatāne. We serve a population of approximately 308,000 for the major population centres of Tauranga, Katikati, Te Puke, Whakatāne, Kawerau and Ōpōtiki. Te Whatu Ora Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is one of the Bay of Plenty's largest employers with over 4000 staff.
