We are interested to hear from Hospital Medicine Registrars who are looking for new Registrar opportunities based at Whakatāne Hospital.

He kōrero mō te tūranga - About the Role
Whakatāne Hospital is accredited for training by the Division of Rural Hospital Medicine programme. We have 2 registrar positions available:
-6months 0.5FTE Anaesthetics/0.5FTE ED, 6 months General medicine.
-Other local opportunities include paediatrics, orthopaedics, general practice, obstetrics and gynaecology and general surgery.
Working at Whakatāne Hospital you will be part of a small, highly skilled, and supportive team in a provincial hospital providing 24/7 medical cover. All trainees are fully supervised and work within the RNZCGP Division of Rural Hospital Medicine learning framework.
A key focus for Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty is to build a sustainable workforce whilst achieving equity in health outcomes for our Eastern Bay community.
Whakatāne Hospital has 110 beds, and serves a population base of 50,000 in the Eastern Bay of Plenty.
