We are recruiting for 2 permanent full-time positions for a Dental Council New Zealand registered Dental/Oral Health Therapist to join our team from January 2024 here in the sunny Western Bay of Plenty. Both positions are 1.0 FTE (40 hours per week) Monday – Friday, and we will consider part-time options please state in your cover letter how many hours per week you wish to be considered for.
We are seeking experienced (minimum 12 months post graduate experience) Dental/Oral Health Therapists; however, we will consider new graduate Oral Health Therapists or suitably qualified overseas candidates with Dental NZ registration for both vacancies.
Our patient group in the Western Bay of Plenty is 0 – 13 years of age. You will work as a member of a team on Mobile Units or fixed site clinics. The service offers ongoing professional development for team members and additional external learning opportunities by application.
We are committed to Māori health equity and increasing Māori and Pasifika participation in our workforce.
The Annual Practicing Certificate fee will be reimbursed, and a professional association membership fee is paid manually.
He Korero mōu - About You
Upon start, the candidates will:
- Have a current registration with Dental Council New Zealand and a current 2023/2024 Annual Practicing Certificate.
- Demonstrate an understanding and commitment to culturally safe practices.
- Hold a minimum of a Restricted Drivers Licence
- Comply with Hauora a Toi Bay of Plenty Shared Expectations and Manaakitanga CARE values.
