He angitūtanga | About the role
Reporting to the Commercial Manager, this role is a key support in ensuring that the Department's regulatory pricing approach is gaining the best value for conservation. You will be part of a team of five which forms part of our Regualtory Systems Performance Directorate. The work we are involved in is varied and challenging, but you will be supported to learn and develop with a strong team around you.
As an Analyst, you'll play a crucial role in providing analytical support to our Regulatory team, ensuring that our fee policies and approaches are well informed and generating fair returns for Conservation. You will also be responsible for reporting on our performance in this area, drawing on data and wider market context to provide context on trends within our system. You will be responsible for ensuring our pricing book and externally facing data and information is accurate and timely to inform Regulated Parties, Treaty Partners and stakeholders.

He kōrero mōu | Skills and experience we are looking for
- Experience utilising analytical frameworks and drawing upon both qualitative and quantitative data.
- Experience effectively communicating technical information to a range of audiences in a way that can inform strategy and decision-making.
- Strong analytical, communication and presentation skills, that allow you to translate technical information in a clear and informative way.
- Experience in working in regulated environments, and understanding of how this impacts commercial settings and behaviours
- General understanding of economic and commercial functions

The salary range for this position is $79,656- $100,639. Salary will be negotiated with the successful candidate based on their level of relevant skills and experience.
