He angitūtanga | About the role

As our next Treaty Partnership and Community Planner, you will be responsible for combining the complex work of relationship management and community engagement with systematic operations planning.  

In this role you will:

  • initiate regional strategic discussions and provide input to the framework for engaging whānau/hapū/iwi and communities
  • support the Auckland Operations teams to build their Treaty partnership and community annual business plans
  • work closely with the Treaty Partnership and Community Rangers to schedule the work on a monthly basis
  • ensure effective measurement of regional operational performance through thirdly reporting
  • build operational discipline and engagement capability in the Auckland Operations teams
  • contribute to the continuing improvement of the national standards for Treaty partnership and community planning.

You will join our Department Operations Planning whānau based in Tāmaki Makaurau / Auckland supporting the whole of the Auckland region. This team includes Operational Delivery Planners, Asset/Maintenance Planners, Inspectors and Works Officers.

 

He kōrero mōu | What we are looking for

We are looking for a technical thinker with the ability to understand, review and identify opportunities for systematic improvements.

The ideal applicant will have knowledge of Treaty settlements, experience working with whānau, hapū and iwi, and excellent interpersonal, communication, engagement, and relationship management skills. A good grasp of te reo Māori is an advantage but is not essential. We are looking for a motivated and effective collaborator who can establish enduring relationships with colleagues.

The starting salary for the successful applicant will be based on their relevant skills and experience, with an expected range of $72,610 - $92,780.
