Job Description

Are you someone who is passionate about maintaining historic and recreation assets and providing quality visitor experiences?  If yes, then this is the job for you.

 

As a Ranger (Recreation Historic) you will be actively working across a range of different projects across the District including:

  • maintenance of significant assets, including the iconic Timber Trail & Waitomo and Ruakuri Reserve walkways
  • management and improvement of visitor facilities and amenity areas including campgrounds
  • provision of visitor information
  • visitor risk management

 

The successful applicant will have

  • extensive experience in field based asset management, carpentry and/or facilities management
  • computer & work planning skills
  • skills in leading and supporting teams and the acquisition of technical knowledge
  • good public relations skills, to communicate and work with our communities, contractors, stakeholders and Iwi
