Job Description

This is a fixed term role for 18 months.


Our Statutory Management Planning team is presently busy delivering significant programmes of conservation management planning and policy work, as well as having numerous projects in the pipeline.  To ensure our continued success we are now looking for a Project Manager to join the team.


As Project Manager, you will work closely with the Team Lead and project leads.  You will bring your experience in project management, programming, administration and reporting to ensure our projects are delivered efficiently and effectively.   In particular, we are looking for: 

  • Excellent relationship management skills and experience
  • Experience working with legislation and statutory timeframes
  • Sound knowledge of project management best practice and methodologies 
  • A drive for innovation and continuous improvement


You will be a team player who is focused on securing innovative conservation outcomes and working alongside others. An ability to be flexible and to adapt to work requirements, coupled with an ability to build and maintain relationships with a wide range of people, both internally and externally, will be integral to this role.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.
