Job Description

Tourism is on a roll and with four years of record growth in visitor spend and numbers the Department of Conservation is gearing up to meet that demand.

The Department has a role to manage its parks and reserves and yet at the same time manage   the demand for sustainable tourism development and growth.

We are looking for an Analyst (Economic) who is keen to play a role in supporting the Dept. with economic and financial advice and analysis, primarily in the tourism and recreation area.

This is an exciting role that will allow opportunity to play an active part in assisting the dept. in a number of areas from pricing and fee setting to system design work.

The Pricing and Economic team is a small team so there will be plenty of variety in the work. If you enjoy a challenge, can think outside the square and don't mind working either on your own or as part of a team then this role could be for you.

Eligibility to work in New Zealand is mandatory, including a valid work visa covering the whole period of employment if applying internationally.

Please apply online.  Applications must include a cover letter, CV and evidence of the required capabilities as per the role description.

For any queries, please contact Phil Brownie,, or telephone (027) 807 4028, quoting vacancy 800/5060

Applications close at 5pm on Friday, 25 January 2019.
