- Provide administrative support to managers within your unit including; processing PO's, travel coordination, calendar and meeting management, finance system requests, HR & Payroll & recruitment paperwork.

As the Administrator for the Governance and Government Services Unit, you will be the go-to guru, supporting the Managers and team members within your Unit with administration and systems expertise. You will work closely with internal and external stakeholders to retrieve information for feedback and reporting purposes, and support the information exchange between the Department and the Minister's Office.
The position will be focused on:
- processing of purchase orders and payments
- liaising with internal and external stakeholders for information
- managing calendars, coordinating meetings and organising interviews
- coordinating travel plans and bookings
- raising and managing purchase orders through the Finance TTA system
- printing and sending meeting papers
- track any incoming requests from the Minister's Office, and forwarding materials to the Minister's Office
- be involved in recruitment logistics and assist Managers to complete any Payroll paperwork, HR paperwork and onboarding for their staff.

We are keen to hear from you if you have the following skills and experience:
- proficiency in Microsoft Programmes i.e. Outlook, Word, Powerpoint
- ability to exercise discretion when dealing with sensitive work
- ability to work under pressure, and to prioritise
- confidence to learn new technical systems quickly
- excellent communication, interpersonal and relationship-management skills
- experience in diary and email management, and logistical coordination
- excellent attention to detail.
Desirable:
- experience within another government/public sector organisation.

The Governance and Government Services Unit sits inside the Public Affairs Group, which is responsible for building and enhancing the trust and confidence with New Zealanders and Parliament, while protecting and enhancing the Department's reputation and brand.
The Unit is the key link between the Department and the Minister's office for the flow of information and advice. A very tight-knit team, the team work collegially to create a trusting, inclusive and effective team culture, each member approachable and always willing to help each other out.

The salary range for this position is $54,314.00 to $66,788.00 with the starting salary of the successful applicant being based on their relevant skills and experience.
