Reporting to the Performance & Quality Lead you will:

  • demonstrate leadership in the area of practice and facilitate the broadening of practitioners thinking, to an all of systems approach to practice
  • develop a clear picture of current resources available from the Ministry to support whānau, early childhood services, and schools
  • support any agreed changes and  implementation of service improvements for our services
  • support the implementation of the new service delivery model for Learning Support  within the Kahui Ako framework
  • assist with building workforce capability for all regional staff through the organisation and facilitation of professional learning and development
  • develop Ministry wide internal relationships (especially with LS Managers and Practitioners) to ensure that services are well connected and understood
  • develop and maintain external relationships with universities and other ministry workforce training providers
  • liaise with the National Service Leads and make connections with their work programmes where these can support the region
