The Ministry of Education has a significant programme of work to ensure that New Zealand has the education workforce we need now and for the future. There are five new roles to supporting this important work, focusing on workforce development and teacher supply initiatives.

Programme Manager

You will lead various streams of work and be a hands-on manager closely engaged with development and delivery of education workforce development initiatives. You will be the key interface between a range of stakeholders both internal and external, coordinating the co-creation and delivery of industry workforce initiatives.

Experience in significant programmes is essential, ideally in the workforce area, as is an understanding of the machinery of government. The ability to quickly understand the dynamics of the education sector and its moving parts is essential.

As much as you will be a strong programme manager, you will also be a motivating force who can energise a team and drive progress.
