About the role

Reporting to the Programme Director, PCI Programme, this position provides advice about, and secures, suitable frameworks to integrate and deliver bilateral communications flows to provide practical, usable products and services that integrate information relevant to learners, parents, whānau, communities and employers. The role includes also the management, co-ordination, design and development of all communications collateral relevant to the Programme.

This role includes leveraging, building, sourcing and consolidating the communications management channels and practices operated by the Ministry's Communications group. 

While the position is placed within a specific work programme, the role includes contributions to other work streams of the PICI group, as required.   


About you

You will have a passion to contribute to young people's education achievement by supporting those who most influence them. 

  • You will have had previous communications' implementation experience within a variety of organisations
  • You will possess the ability to communicate to customers of service delivery initiatives within the public sector
  • Proven ability to work collaboratively across complex organisations
  • Significant direct experience in collaborative work practices
  • A record of influencing and achieving outcomes through non-hierachical leadership styles  Demonstrated experience in building successful relationships and stimulating change
