About our group

The Customer Services team provides the ‘front door' to the IT Group and the Ministry, delivering customer services and training in a range of ICT (Information and Communication Technologies) systems and applications to the Ministry and wider education system.

 

About the role

The Knowledge Manager is responsible for ensuring the Ministry's knowledge and Intellectual Property for all applications, services and processes that the Service Desk supports are current. They will work closely with project teams and Change Management to ensure any new or. upgraded applications has been through a rigorous transition process to ensure effective implementation and hand over to the Service Desk to guarantee operational readiness

 

About you

To be successful in this role you will have:

  • Strong experience of  ITIL including Incident Management, Problem Management, Change Control, SLA and MoU agreements and work flow improvement processes.
  • Have previously or. are currently employed in a Service Desk management environment using a call tracking system, preferably vFire and Knowledge management tools Robohelp and KnowledgeBase would be great.
  • Have an exceptional level of attention to detail to be able to analyse business requirements along with strong relationship and facilitation skills.
  • Experience with a variety of hardware, software technologies and applications.
  • Strong communications and documentation skills.
