We invite you to join our vibrant, committed and supportive team of psychologists and special education advisors.

This is a fixed term parental leave position.  The job is in the Waikato South West and we will receive applications from those interested in part time through to full time work.


You will work as part of a multi-disciplinary collaborative team providing ecological assessment, intervention, training and reporting services, advising and supporting schools and early childhood centres to provide inclusive practices that enable student success.


You will need strong teaming skills and the competency to establish effective relationships with whānau, parents, families, educators and key providers working within the community. 


An awareness and sensitivity to cultural and ethnic diversity, a strong commitment to the Treaty of Waitangi, the Ministries priorities and the Māori education strategy ‘Ka Hikitia', are essential. 


A knowledge of Te Reo me ngā Tikanga and previous successful engagement with Māori is highly desirable.

Applicants must be registered or. eligible for registration as a psychologist or. have relevant experience in schools. A current driver's license is required. The Ministry of Education has an equal opportunities policy.
