Help shape the future of Education

At the Ministry of Education, we are working together, in partnership with all New Zealanders, to shape an education system delivering equitable and excellent outcomes for all our ākonga/learners, their families and whānau.

We are more than 3,000 talented and committed people around New Zealand, from a wide range of backgrounds and cultures.

We work in different groups and on different things. But we all strive, every day, to make the biggest difference we can for every ākonga/learners in education.

The Communications team is critical to the Ministry. Currently, the biggest education reforms in decades are underway. We are engaging with tens of thousands of New Zealanders through hui, fono, social media, media, and via the Kōrero Mātauranga| Education Conversation. We are listening and responding to their views, and encouraging them to participate in changing our education system for the better.

We also help our people continue to adapt to our changing environment.  We work in a dynamic, fast paced, and complex environment and we have a great team focused on putting ākonga/students at the centre of all we do.
