About us

Education Infrastructure Service (EIS), a part of the Ministry of Education, creates and supports safe, healthy, inspiring and ICT enabled learning environments. EIS manages the Crown's second largest property portfolio of around 2,500 schools with a book value of $17.8 billion, is responsible for the largest payroll in the country, and transports over 100,000 students to and from school each day.

About the role

You will provide support to the Project Accountants in the provision of services including budgets, forecasting, modelling, management reporting and planning, costing, benchmarking and developing the financial capability of managers. The role supports the financial management (budgeting, forecasting, reporting etc.) for capital expenditure for the EIS Capital Works groups (Capital Works and Infrastructure Advisory Services).

About you

You will have a Bachelors' degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics (or a similar business discipline) with relevant experience within a finance environment.  It is vital that you are a self-starter, dedicated to meeting the expectations and requirements of internal and external customers. 

You will also offer:

  • Effective communication and relationship management skills
  • Experience of working with multiple data sources and systems to compile and generate management reports
  • Experience in an asset/capital intensive organisation, ideally in the construction industry.,
