About our group and team
An excellent opportunity exists for an energetic and enthusiastic Accounts Payable Advisor based in the Wellington CBD.
This role is part of the Financial Payments & Collections team who is responsible in ensuring the accurate and timely payment and collection of all Ministry transactions.
About this role
This is no ordinary Accounts Payable role. The volumes are high and processes are complex and exciting. There are a number of new innovative initiatives presently being undertaken.
The Accounts Payable Advisor role is responsible for accurately and efficiently processing transactions for payment in line with agreed processes to ensure internal and external levels are met or exceeded. The role also provides professional support and issue resolution to internal customers and suppliers.
About you
We're looking for someone with:
- At least 3-5 years experience in an Accounts Payable role in a large organisation
- Experience in Tier 1 ERP systems (e.g. Oracle, SAP, Technology One)
- Excellent Excel skills
- the ability to understand and apply the principles of Te Tiriti o Waitangi
- Ability to work independently, quickly and accurately, with strong attention to details
- A proactive, customer focused approach
- Ability to work to tight deadlines
- Be self-motivated, responsible, agile and a good team player
