At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whānau.

We help shape the policies, settings and performance of the education system for early learning, schooling and tertiary. We do this by building relationships and understanding the needs of those who receive our services.

About our group

Te Puna Hanganga, Matihiko | Infrastructure & Digital - Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga | Ministry of Education, leads inclusive, accessible and integrated national, digital and physical infrastructure and transport services to the education system.

Mō tēnei tūranga | About this role

The Delivery Managers are responsible for developing effective relationships and trust with schools and other internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring that consultants are working effectively and efficiently to deliver school infrastructure projects on time, to budget and to scope as set out in the project brief. The Delivery Managers will oversee a group of capital projects (building construction) and will follow and work within Ministry and EIS policy, procedures and guidelines.

Key skills:

  • Management of end to end school building construction projects in a fast paced and complex portfolio
  • Stakeholder relationship management with a diverse group of stakeholders
  • Problem solving and collaboration to deliver great results with maximum impact

Mōhou ake | About you

You are an experienced Project Manager with considerable relevant construction knowledge, and a strong track record of using project management methodologies and organisational processes to achieve efficient outcomes, manage risks and implement lessons learnt. Understanding of the full Ministry end to end project management from business case to completion of the project would be a bonus.
