As our Executive Assistant you will have unique daily challenges, but your MS expertise coupled with great interpersonal skills and the ability to juggle multiple priorities will ensure your success in this role. Our team works closely together supporting each other and we have fun along the way. While the role has an administration and coordination focus, the breadth and depth of exposure and experience you will get make this role ideal to explore your career options more broadly in HR.

Mōhou ake | About you
You could be a newly graduated HR professional or have an interest in the HR field, this role is an excellent introduction and provides insight into a career within HR. We offer you interesting and varied work in a fast-paced, supportive environment where you'll have the chance to understand how decisions are made and implemented.
We are looking for the successful applicant to bring enthusiasm, a keenness for learning and strong initiative to our team.
You will demonstrate knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an understanding of Te Ao Māori and promote tikanga and Te Reo Māori. You will also have knowledge of, or a willingness to gain an appreciation of te Tiriti o Waitangi (the Treaty of Waitangi) as it applies in the public sector.
Mātau rōpū ake | About our ministry, group, and team
At Te Tāhuhu o te Mātauranga, we work to provide services and support nationally, regionally and locally to the education sector, and in some cases, directly to ākonga and whanau. To better deliver on this, we are currently undergoing an organisational design change. The transition phase to improve the way we deliver our purpose will be complete in 2023.
