  • Work with internal and external stakeholders to deliver the asset improvement plan to support the organisation's ICR rating.
  • 18 month fixed-term, full-time position - Central Wellington location

 

Inland Revenue's (IR) Facilities Management (FM) business unit provides fit for purpose, value for money FM solutions which are underpinned by our vision statement “Excellence in Facilities Management within the New Zealand State Sector”.  Our role within IR is to provide agreed cost effective FM services that meet customer and stakeholder needs.

As a Senior FM Advisor you will play a critical part in delivering results that contribute to improving the efficiency and effectiveness of FM at IR.  You will work as part of a small team and your focus will be on leading FM's approach to Asset Management including:

  • Lead Property Asset Management in the FM team
  • Review current Asset Management systems and processes
  • Review Asset Management documentation
  • Contribute to the evaluation and implementation of an integrated workplace management tool
  • Present proposals for improving and maturing Asset management at IR
  • Working closely with IR Corporate Reporting, Finance and Commercial & Procurement teams.

 

This role will play a key part in delivering results that contribute to IR's future success by improving the efficiency and effectiveness of FM.  You'll need to bring working knowledge across all aspects of Facilities and Asset Management and will be self-managing, switched on, innovative and ready to step up to take on this challenging role.  You'll also demonstrate values that align with ours such as Professionalism, Agility, Customer Focus and Engagement.  Other required experience and technical knowledge includes:

  • An understanding how asset management practices support and enable organisational objectives, and/or;
  • Experience in analysing asset data/information to develop capital reinvestment plans (forecasts)
  • Strong relationship management; including developing, building and maintaining effective business relationships with contractors, stakeholders and internal customers;
  • Good communication skills; the ability to persuade and influence decisions and excellent business writing skills including memo and report writing;
  • Ability to work under pressure, ‘can do' attitude and excellent time management skills;
  • A sound level of computer skills with intermediate experience using the Microsoft suite of products;
