Inland Revenue (IR) is transforming; we're making it easier for customers to do business with us, making it simple to get it right. This ethos applies to both our external and internal customers, and our newly-formed Information & Knowledge Management (IKM) team is championing the value of IKM for the people of IR.

 

We have several positions for people passionate about the crucial role knowledge and information plays in any modern organisation; people who build strong relationships and take the time to understand the bigger picture, providing creative solutions that support business aims.

 

  • As well as partnering with business groups, there will be opportunity for you to work closely with the broader transformation programme.  Your ability to see the connections across the organisation will get the right people talking together, limiting duplication of work and minimising repetition. Your curiosity allows you to identify future information sharing opportunities, exploring options and possibilities.

 

  • As you'll be working with a broad range of people at all levels within IR, we need to see your pragmatism and accessibility.  You're someone who is comfortable working in the grey and can relate to people, promoting ways good information and knowledge management can make work easier.

 

  • Technically, we'll be looking to see your experience in providing credible technical advice in plain language to a range of business people. Ideally you'll have exposure to IKM practices and frameworks, including an understanding of managing public records. Most importantly you'll bring a clear appreciation of the value of managing information and knowledge well.  The team will be involved in some administration of our new Enterprise Content Management solution, but you're not the technical helpdesk.

 

We're looking for the right people to join the team, and we know not everyone is available to work full time.  We have flexible work arrangements here at IR, so we'd love to hear from you if you have the above skills, a passion for IKM, and want to work full or reduced hours.
