About the role

The Legal Services unit sits within the newly formed Customer & Compliance Services group (CCS) and this particular leadership role will head up the Advice team in Christchurch . With a team made up of Solicitors (at different levels) and Technical Specialists, you'll enjoy getting results and solving problems through your people. This is a great opportunity if you are an experienced people leader and have a strong understanding of the tax technical arena. 


You will:

  • support and develop your people and take on responsibility to lead national projects from either a technical perspective or people development perspective
  • enable and motivate the team to work both proactively and reactively to help customers to get it right from the start
  • foster a team environment and standard of delivery with a high level of customer service, solution focus and value add.


What you'll need to bring to the role

  • strong people leadership skills and obvious motivation for helping your team members develop and grow
  • existing senior-level tax technical knowledge 
  • an innovative and solution focused approach
  • excellent relationship management ability to work effectively with our customer groups and wider networks
  • sound decision making and compliance management skills with a focus on the customer experience.
