Fixed Term and/or Secondment opportunity

 

Wanted – a proactive and self-motivated Learning & Development Advisor to provide support and leadership in the area of staff professional development, until June 2018.

 

This role will see the successful applicant fulfilling a variety of organisational functions including career pathways, leadership and management development, arranging and facilitating workshops, and reviewing policies and systems that enhance the performance development for The Office of the Chief Tax Counsel (OCTC) and the Policy and Strategy group.

The Office of the Chief Tax Counsel (OCTC) provides a wide range of advice and services to and on behalf of Inland Revenue's Commissioner to both internal and external customers.  They are responsible for furnishing technical advice, specifically about the interpretation and application of taxation law.

The Policy and Strategy group is responsible for providing policy advice to the Government on tax and social policy issues, and leading the development of Inland Revenue's strategy.  The Policy advice group's focus is on providing tax and social policy advice to the Government whilst the Strategy team's focus is on the long-term future of Inland Revenue from the Commissioner's and a whole-of-government perspective.

As a strong contender for this busy and challenging role your career to date should have demonstrable experience across:

  • designing, implementing, reviewing and improving professional development strategies using best practice methodologies
  • acting in a customer focused, solutions oriented way
  • building and maintaining effective professional relationships
  • delivering development events and training on time, within budget to expected quality standards
