  • 18 months Secondment or Fixed Term
  • 20 to 25 hours per week
  • Ideally 5 days per week or minimum 3 days per week – must include Tuesday to Thursday
  • Wellington based role

 

Our Government and Executive Services team is looking for an experienced Workflow Administrator to join our team of professionals. This is a pivotal role and critical to the success of the team.

 

Government and Executive Services, is a key interface between the Minister of Revenue, the Commissioner of Inland Revenue and the public. The team is responsible for providing responses to official correspondence received by the Minister of Revenue and the Commissioner of Inland Revenue, requests for information, parliamentary papers and reports and briefing notes to the Minister.

 

In this role you will be responsible for providing administrative support to the team comprising a manager, Senior Ministerial Advisors and Ministerial Advisors.  You will work closely with the Ministerial Coordinator on a day to day basis.   

 

We are looking for someone who is focused, flexible, well organised and calm under pressure. Your eye for detail and ability to strongly support the provision of timely, accurate and relevant ministerial and official correspondence will be essential to your success. We also are looking for someone with a “can do” attitude.

 

As an effective communicator, you will maintain existing relationships with a range of people at various levels across the organisation and enjoy the opportunity to build new ones.  Your ability to interact collaboratively with people will be paramount as you provide advice and ensure people understand and adhere to processes and systems.

 

We want someone who has:

  • experience providing support, including diary management, to a busy team
  • the ability to manage competing demands
  • commitment to deliver without compromising on quality
  • effective problem-solving and decision-making skills.

 

An understanding or familiarity with the following would be also beneficial:

  • records and document management, including workflow systems;
  • the machinery of government and parliamentary processes; and
  • co-ordination of work in a complex and busy environment.
