From the best way to develop farmland, build a new suburb, manage a high-country farm or navigate on land or at sea, our work and location information help people make better decisions and create economic, social, environmental and cultural value for New Zealand.
The Property Rights team sits within our Customer Delivery group and is responsible for the New Zealand survey and title system. This system means New Zealanders know exactly what property they own. Our business group is based across three sites in New Zealand.
We are currently looking for Property Rights Analyst's (PRA) to work in our Survey team.
Kōrero mō te tūranga - About the role
The role of a Property Rights Analyst (Survey) is to validate and approve cadastral survey plans prepared by private survey firms and integrate the data into New Zealand's spatial database of property boundaries. The PRA position is a fantastic opportunity for someone who can apply experience from a validating/processing environment, or someone with good critical thinking, problem solving and attention to detail alongside excellence in customer service. We aren't looking for specific previous experience, it's more important to us that you bring your zest for learning and spirit of service to Toitū Te Whenua. We have successful Property Rights Analysts in our teams that have come from a range of backgrounds and industry such as recent graduates, customer service superstars and experienced case managers from both the private and public sectors. What we look for are those qualities that make you the person that everyone wants on their team. If you are interested in the property system and how property rights and ownership is transacted and measured, then you will never be bored in this role.

A comprehensive training programme will be given to the successful applicants, and you will be fully supported throughout your learning experience.
The salary range for this role is $62,206 to $84,160.
