You will join a close-knit team in the Office of the Surveyor-General where you will:

  • Contribute to the development of regulations, standards, and guidelines to ensure the quality, integrity, accessibility, and security of cadastral, geodetic, electoral, and addressing data & systems
  • Undertake investigations of anomalies in cadastral surveys
  • Provide expert cadastral advice within Toitū Te Whenua and to external surveyors
  • Provide expert advice on the operation of the survey system
  • Support the progression of the survey system to ensure it provides for the growing demands of the cadastre and those who rely on property information
  • Support engagement with surveyors to enhance the quality of surveys and compliance with requirements

 

He pūkenga tou - Skills & Experience

  • Hold a suitable tertiary qualification and a Cadastral Survey Licence.
  • Interpretation of regulatory standards, guidelines, common law, and legislation.
  • Providing expert advice in the conduct of surveys and to those seeking to understand the purpose and application of cadastral surveys to the various tenure uses.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills coupled with wide ranging practical experience in the conduct of surveys including the use of Landonline
  • You will have excellent communication skills and a willingness to work collaboratively to build strong relationships within the team, across Toitū Te Whenua and with stakeholders. 

The salary range for this position is $95,846 - $129,674
