LINZ is establishing a new Manager role within our Topography Group.  This is a great opportunity to join the team and showcase your excellent managerial and strategic skills, and shape the way forward within the team.   

As our Manager Topographic Products you will maintain and expand the production of topographic products and services to include those specifically for digital use, as well as overseeing the development of internal applications.

The Manager Topographic Products manages the Cartographic Products and Internal Applications functions, providing direction and leadership whilst supporting the goals of the Topographic Strategy.


Our ideal candidate will:

  • Building and developing a high performing team to create, manage, maintain and develop cartographic products and internal applications
  • Work closely with all Topographic Managers to ensure the group operates as one collective, while building a common sense of purpose, engagement and commitment across the group
  • Support technical leaders to keep up-to-date with technology so new developments are applied appropriately
  • Manage networks to facilitate information sharing, both internally and externally
  • Support the strategic development, planning and reporting requirements for the Topographic Group while delivering to the Topographic Strategy, Mapping NZ2025 and the Topographic Group work plan
  • Have a strong customer focus and relationship management skills, with a focus on people development
  • Have a relevant tertiary qualification and proven experience leading technical teams
