  • Come and join our fabulous team

We are looking for a passionate, motivated and high performing Senior Advisor to join the Planning and Performance team at Land Information New Zealand (LINZ).

LINZ is a diverse government agency that touches most New Zealanders without them knowing it.

When you buy, sell or develop a property, you and your bank rely on LINZ to make sure the property's title is clear and it has been surveyed accurately.

LINZ is in charge of all New Zealand's maps and charts so you don't get lost, on land as well as on the water.  Knowing where things and people are is also important when government and the private sector make decisions about New Zealand's development.  LINZ is also involved in decisions about who from overseas can buy New Zealand land and business, through the Overseas Investment Office.

As our Senior Advisor Planning and Performance you will brings LINZ's performance story to life by ensuring it is presented in a way that is meaningful both within LINZ, and externally.  You will work in a small team and have the opportunity to work across the entire organisation, as well as supporting the Executive Leadership Team.  This role will be instrumental in implementing a new outcomes framework, and you will manage your own portfolio of work from start to finish.

Our ideal candidate will be able to demonstrate:

  • Understanding and experience of public sector planning cycles, requirements and obligations as well as experience of working with corporate governance frameworks
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • The ability to analyse complex data and information, and translate to simple operational models and frameworks
  • A practical knowledge of strategic frameworks and methodologies
  • Excellent facilitation skills
  • Demonstrated ability to develop and maintain positive working relationship at all levels of the organisation
