We have a new opportunity within Managed Isolation and Quarantine (MIQ) for a Product Support Advisor. This role is part of the Product Support team which supports the Managed Isolation Allocation System (MIAS). This role will manage the customer-facing requirements of MIAS, working closely with the product owner, vendor and programmes and change team. Liaising with people who are registered in MIAS with respect to their account information and the room release and voucher processes. Also monitoring, triaging and resolving a high volumes of MIAS user queries.
To be successful in this role you will need to have customer service experience in a corporate or public sector environment, strong written and oral communication skills with the ability to adapt communication style for a range of audiences, is flexible and comfortable with ambiguity and change.
Key responsibilities include;
- Monitoring and resolving queries and corresponding with users
- Providing high quality advice to managers and other stakeholders
- Identifying areas for continuous improvement
- Participates as an active team member and contributes knowledge and expertise to operational policy and decision making
- Developed effective working relationships with managers and staff across MIQ
MIQ became a Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) business group on 13 July 2020. The purpose of managed isolation is to ensure COVID-19 is not spread to the community while enabling Kiwis and other exempted travellers to return to New Zealand safely. A key enabler of this work is collaboration across government.
Over 170,000 people have passed through MIQ since New Zealand stood up its response to Covid-19. A range of agencies including the Ministry of Health, All-of-Government, Department of Prime Minister and Cabinet, Police, Customs, New Zealand Defence Force, Aviation Security Service and other business groups in MBIE are working together to deliver an enduring MIQ system.
