The New Zealand Government Procurement and Property branch has changed its operating model to meet the evolving needs of our stakeholders.  This has created a number of exciting new opportunities and different ways of working. This position provides an opportunity for you to work with a team of commercial professionals in a dynamic and ever-changing environment.

 

The Commercial Pool provide expert commercial and procurement advice for Government agencies dealing with complex, high risk or strategically important projects across NZ and the world. As the PA/Team Administrator, you will work in a fast-paced, diverse environment, providing high level PA support to the manager and the team.  You will also keep the office running smoothly.

 

To be part of the team, you will need to be client-focused, flexible, have the ability to prioritise and have a positive and pro-active approach to your work ensuring that tasks are completed to a high standard.

 

The successful candidate will have:

  • A proven track record of experience and success in providing personal support to managers, preferably in the public sector environment
  • A record of experience and success in providing administrative support to a large team  
  • High level intuition to successfully be one step ahead
  • Experience with diary management
  • A strong customer service focus and a proactive approach to their work
  • Attention to detail, ability to multi-task and work well under pressure
  • Demonstrated agility in supporting a busy team and responding to changes in priorities
  • Wide ranging knowledge of administration systems and processes – including financial systems
  • Sound relationship management skills
  • Experience with databases and Microsoft Office software applications

We are looking to offer a salary between $45,000 and $52,000 based on skills and experience.
