About the role

Housing & Tenancy Services is seeking an experienced and energetic Senior Digital Advisor and a Digital Advisor to deliver key information through digital, web and social media channels. The roles include developing and implementing digital, content and social media strategies, managing and writing web content for a range of audiences, advising on how to provide the most effective end-to-end customer experiences, and developing new digital initiatives.

The successful applicants will contribute to the Information and Education team, providing high quality digital advice and services, and finding innovative solutions for communicating key information and education to our housing and tenancy sectors.

 

Skills and experience required:

  • Demonstrated experience in online content creation for websites and social media
  • Ability to develop, implement and evaluate digital and social media strategies, standards, policies, processes and procedures
  • Practical experience with CWP, Adobe Creative Suite and MS Office
  • Excellent understanding of user experience principles and best practice
  • Experience in using web analytics to make recommendations for improvement
  • Strong influencing, interpersonal and communication skills, including ability to translate legislation, policy or technical guidance into plain English, and write web content for a range of audiences
  • Stakeholder engagement experience (internal and external)
  • Willingness to work in a flexible and dynamic environment
  • Must have legal right to live and work in NZ

 

A tertiary qualification, preferably in online and digital communications, or communications and marketing is desirable.

We're looking for a Senior Digital Advisor and a Digital Advisor who is passionate about delivering a positive user experiences to our diverse audiences, and enjoys finding innovative and effective solutions.  We're looking for versatile, high performing individuals to help lead our digital channels and contribute to an engaged and fast-moving team and organisation.

The Information and Education team sits with in the Housing and Tenancy Services Branch. The team's mission is to:

  • Shape information and education initiatives that motivate behavioural change, improving how the housing and tenancy system functions
  • Collaborate with the wider housing and tenancy system including internal and external partners to contribute to shared goals and support sector compliance
  • Deliver timely ‘source of truth' information through communication channels to educate audiences about their rights and responsibilities.
