About us

The purpose of the Ministry of Business, Innovation and Employment (MBIE) is to grow the New Zealand economy to provide a better standard of living for all New Zealanders. The Housing and Urban Branch (HUB) is the government's lead advisor on housing and urban performance.  We deliver initiatives which ensure current and future generations live in good houses and great communities. The HUB provides policy and regulatory advice on New Zealand's housing and urban markets, including housing affordability, quality, safety and choice, infrastructure to support housing and urban development and the performance of New Zealand's urban systems in delivering economic growth and overall wellbeing.

To achieve this we want to attract and keep staff who are engaged and motivated, and feel supported and developed to deliver to their maximum potential.

About the role

The Policy and Programme Services (PPS) team provides a range of services to support the HUB to develop and deliver its work programme, particularly in the areas of; Strategy and governance, Programme and project management, Stakeholder engagement and Business management functions. Policy programmes often operate with high levels of uncertainty and we bring a flexible approach to implementing project management in this environment.
