Job Description

We are currently on the lookout for Policy Advisors for roles in our Financial Markets, Business Law (Intellectual Property) and ICT Policy & Programmes teams. Further information about each of these teams and their key projects is attached in the Team Profiles summary, along with a full position description and a summary of what our branch does. 


You might be interested in the Commerce, Consumers & Communications Branch if:

  • You are naturally curious and like to question the status quo
  • You are interested in getting regulatory experience, exposure to Ministers and understanding how Cabinet and Parliament work
  • You are comfortable working across multiple policy projects
  • You enjoy working in a collaborative way.


Who are we looking for?

We are looking for Policy Advisors with experience of applying policy principles in a number of projects, and a proven track record of problem solving and formulating advice, particularly in highly ambiguous situations. You will be able to demonstrate strong stakeholder management and communication skills allowing you to influence change.
