About this opportunity

We currently have an opportunity for a risk expert to join our Building Performance and Engineering (BPE) team as the Principle Advisor, Regulatory Risk. This is a new position is one that will play a senior leadership role in embedding risk frameworks and practices across the branch.

What would you be doing as Principle Advisor Regulatory Risk?

  • Providing expert technical analysis and strategic advice on regulatory risk
  • Building a narrative to support risk thinking in the building regulatory system
  • Developing and implement frameworks for considering this risk from a regulatory perspective
  • Embedding risk methodology and measurements for the team and wider branch when they are considering building code and system changes
  • Mentoring and coaching staff within the branch on risk management principles, concepts and practices

 

Skills and experience required 

So what skills and experience will you need to make this role a success?

  • Deep knowledge and understanding of the fundamental principles of risk frameworks preferably in a regulatory environment
  • Proven experience working on technically complex projects
  • Strong stakeholder management skills, with experience working collaboratively across groups or functions
  • Excellent communication skills that allow you to communicate and engage effectively with a wide variety of audiences  
  • Tertiary qualification in a relevant technical discipline relating to Risk
