The Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery team empowers and enables the technology solutions which are key to way the Ministry delivers it's services to the public. We are a high performing team delivering high impact outcomes.
We currently have a vacancy for a Business Analyst based in our Stout Street office, Wellington.
Our Business Analysts play a critical role in the success of the Te Whakatairanga Service Delivery team ensuring we are delivering to the real needs of our stakeholders. Working collaboratively with a very diverse group of business users, ICT and Delivery functions you will have the opportunity to influence the solutions we create and implement for the wider Ministry.
Your Technical Background
Ideally you will have come from a Business Analyst position within a technology team, you should have mastered the core competencies of our profession and be adept at tasks such as eliciting requirements, building case studies and the effective use of user stories. As we see more and more demand for Agile projects any exposure to Agile Environments will be beneficial.
Joining a team of experienced and high performing Business Analysis professionals will provide a rare opportunity to learn from some of the best talent in the Wellington market.

Your Commercial and Communication Skills
Your interpersonal skills will be exemplary and Self - Confidence is vital; you will need to be able to quickly establish credibility with new stakeholders within our large and fast-moving Ministry and demonstrate where you can add value to projects and processes.
Your work load will be constant and varied, as we move through of life cycle of programs you will need to be able to keep pace with both the volume, and at times pressure, of a high performing team.
