Job Description

The Strategy and Policy Business Unit is responsible for the Ministry's advice on the health and disability system.

 

As a Senior Policy Analyst you will provide strategic policy advice and support in the delivery of the Ministry's objectives.    

 

Strong understanding of public policy and the machinery of government along with a drive for results, achieved through initiative, thought leadership and collaboration; you will have demonstrated experience in a broad range of policy development, advice and analysis in a complex environment.  Experience working on the regulatory and legislative processes of government will be an advantage.You are someone who establishes relationships quickly, and can show experience fostering collaborative working relationships and leveraging these to negotiate positive outcomes.

 

Your well-developed written and verbal communication skills and ability to work to tight timeframes, experience in leading and delivering high priority work programmes will see you succeed in this role.
