(Palmerston North based fixed term position until June 2020)

We are implementing a prototype of a transformed disability support system in MidCentral DHB area from 1 October 2018. The aim of the prototype is to provide disabled people and whānau with more options and greater decision making over their support and their lives.

We are looking for an experienced leader to work with the Director to build a team of Connectors who will walk alongside disabled people and whānau to assist them think about what they want in their life, what support they need to get there and how to put this in place.

 

In this role, you will manage and coach a team of Connectors and work closely with the Director and System Enabling Team to build a culture based on the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles.

 

The successful candidate will:

  • be an excellent people leader with demonstrated experience coaching and supporting staff to be high performing

  • be able to describe the Enabling Good Lives vision and principles and how they apply these in their practice

  • be committed to implementing a Disability Rights approach

  • have a good understanding of Human Rights and the Treaty of Waitangi

  • be excited about being part of a transformation project.

     

This position is a fixed term role until June 2020 and could be a secondment from the public sector.
