Senior Stakeholder Relations Advisor – National Bowel Screening Programme


The National Bowel Screening Programme Team is responsible for the implementation and oversight of New Zealand's newest screening programme. The team is part of the National Screening Unit, Service Commissioning.


We are looking for an experienced and energised individual to join the NBSP team in the role of Senior Stakeholder Relations Advisor. This is a part-time (0.8 FTE) fixed term role for two years.


In this role you will provide expertise on stakeholder relations and communications for the rollout of the National Bowel Screening Programme. The initial focus of this role will be twofold:

(1) working with the team to ensure strong engagement with the health sector to facilitate the rollout of the National Bowel Screening Programme;

(2) creation of promotional collateral and social marketing strategy.


The role makes a significant contribution to the overall quality and uptake of the programme.


In order to be successful in this role you will:

  • be a highly motivated self-starter who is looking to work in a results-focused environment which requires initiative, flexibility and confidence working with ambiguity
  • pursue everything with energy, drive and a need to finish
  • seldom give up before finishing, especially in the face of resistance or setbacks
  • be able to write clearly and succinctly in a variety of communication settings and styles; can get messages across that have the desired effect.
