We're looking for an experienced Coordinator to join our friendly and supportive People Development Team!

About the role

The People Development Team has an exciting few years ahead where we will be designing, developing and implementing a wide range of new organisational development initiatives that will make a real impact on the Ministry's culture, leadership, capability and people experience.

The People Development Coordinator provides event coordination and administration support that enables the successful delivery of these initiatives.  This is a varied and busy role that will include:

  • Acting as the first point of contact for all internal learning & development queries

  • Event coordination of leadership development and learning and development programmes, including booking venues, catering and travel

  • Supporting the day-to-day administration of the Ministry's Learning Management System, including creating course pages, coordinating applications, waitlists, evaluations and reporting

  • Liaising with internal facilitators and external providers to ensure they are set up to deliver L&D and OD initiatives on behalf of the Ministry

  • Processing ‘Study Assistance' applications

  • Ensuring vendor contracts are in place and invoices are paid

  • Providing administration support to the wider team

This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced coordinator who has a keen interest in organisational development, or a recent HR / organisational psychology graduate with relevant administration experience who is looking to kick-start their career within HR.

How you'll be successful

As a member of the People Development Team, you'll have a positive can-do attitude, be naturally collaborative in the way you work with others and be happy rolling up your sleeves and supporting the wider team when they need it.

Technically, the skills you'll bring with you will include:

  • Proven administration experience, preferably within an HR, L&D or events management environment

  • The ability to build great relationships with people at all levels

  • Strong planning and organisational skills, with attention to detail

  • A flexile, adaptable approach to your work

  • The ability to work at pace and juggle multiple priorities at one time

  • Experience using a Learning Management System is preferred, but not essential.
