The Ministry of Health is the lead Public Health agency on the national COVID-19 response and has established the COVID-19 Health System Response Directorate to provide oversight of all activities contributing to the Ministry's COVID-19 response.
Mō tō mātou rōpū – About our team:
The National Investigation and Tracing Centre (NITC) was established within the Ministry of Health in March 2020 as part of the Government's response to the COVID-19 pandemic. It provides the contact tracing service for all close contacts delegated by Public Health Units (PHUs). The Contact Tracing Operations team operates 7 days a week / 12 hour shifts.
Te whainga poto o tēnei tūranga – What is the purpose of this position?
The role of Operations Lead is a new role that is responsible for providing day to day direct oversight of call centre providers to ensure safe, effective and timely communication and instruction is provided to contacts of cases.
In the role you will also ensure communication and documentation are of a high quality and consistent with policy and standard operating procedures, and completed with agreed timeframes. Working closely with the call centre providers you will assist them to problem solve and escalate where required to resolve or seek advice in complex quarantine situations.
