Senior Advisor at Ministry of Health, Wellington

We are looking for a Senior Advisor to come on board within the Government Services and Coordination team.

To be successful you will need to:

• Build collaborative and positive relationships with Ministry teams and Ministerial offices
• Contribute to work in the Government Services Group
• Be comfortable working in a reactive, fast-paced environment, exercising sound judgement in high-pressure situations.

There is a lot of exciting work happening within the Government Services Group to support the Minister of Health and Associate Ministers of Health carry out their Machinery of Government and democratic functions.

We are looking for an experienced Senior Advisor to join us in the Government Services and Coordination Team, who support the timely production of responses to oral and written parliamentary questions and materials for select committee.

As a Senior Advisor you will be responsible for:

• Providing oversight, direction and leadership of key projects.
• Guiding and mentoring other team members.
• Providing consistently high quality advice and support to teams within the Ministry of Health.

You will also have political nous, good organisational skills, as well as strong written and oral communication skills. You will bring a can-do attitude, attention to detail, and an ability to work to competing deadlines.
