Do you want to be part of a team that will deliver the Therapeutic Products Bill? This will be a foundational piece of legislation for the Health and Disability System that will provide New Zealand with modern fit for purpose regulation for medicines and medical devices enabling New Zealanders to access new and emerging health care technologies. You'll bring a thorough understanding of public policy issues, including Te Tiriti and Equity requirements. You have demonstrated success in developing fit for purpose policy advice in a dynamic environment. You can assimilate new information and apply policy frameworks to work in tight timeframes.
As a highly collaborative policy professional who can see the benefits of strong policy advice using data analysis and research to evidence advice, you bring with you a strong ability to take complex information and make it relevant across a range of audiences.
You can demonstrate a strong understanding of how legislative and regulatory instruments can be applied to deliver better economic and social outcomes and improve health outcomes.
Your advice is understood by a range of audiences, breaking complex problems into achievable equitable solutions. You will take ownership and action on challenges, working collaborativelywith others. You are all about making a positive contribution to the team.
As a Senior Policy Analyst, you will be able to demonstrate your comfort in sharing your knowledge and mentoring analysts to grow their policy skills. You are open to learning from others, seeking opportunities through your work to further grow both your written and analytical skillsets, whilst demonstrating core leadership skills when leading of pieces of work.

It is the Government's primary advisor on health, priority setting, policy and system performance, and regulates the health system. It also contains the new Public Health Agency, is the principal source of horizon scanning and government-level leadership and regulates the health system.
