Ko tōu ake mahi - What You'll Do
Our Office of the Deputy Director General is responsible for providing advice and support to the Deputy Director-General and the Senior Leadership Team in the Strategy, Policy and Legislation Directorate. We support, maintain, and improve the delivery of quality written advice and work programmes, enabling the Directorate to effectively function.
In this role some specific tasks you undertake will depend on your skills, experience and interests, however your key responsibilities will include
- contribute to delivering key pieces of work for the Directorate, Senior Leadership team and the Manager of the Office of the Deputy Director General
- draft key communications and improve the quality of the Ministry's written products
- support the development and continuous improvement of processes and tools within the Office of the Deputy Director-General and the wider Directorate.

- Tertiary qualification in a relevant field and/or equivalent experience
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to foster good relationships
- Cultural awareness and an understanding of Te Ao Māori and the Treaty of Waitangi and our obligations under it.
