District Court Judges' Clerk

MOJ/1307416

Fixed term, full-time position for 2 years with an option to extend for a further year

This is a fantastic 2-3 year fixed term internship for motivated, enthusiastic law professionals to develop an intricate and first hand view of the judicial system.  You will provide high quality research and directly support the District Court Judges.

If you have an LLB with a strong academic record, excellent written communication and research skills and good computer literacy this could be the opportunity for you. 

We are looking for someone who enjoys working independently towards deadlines, is driven and self-motivated to manage workload and maintain confidentiality. To excel in this role you will understand and consider the practicalities of outcomes as well as their legality. The successful candidate will play a key role in supplying efficient and accurate legal support on any topic required, and ideally will have a specialist area.

You'll provide high quality research to resident and visiting District Court Judges in the Lower North region.  Your role will be to aid the Judges.  You will fulfil that responsibility by supplying efficient and accurate legal support on any topic required. 

This position is located at the Hamilton District Court.
