Coronial Services Case Manager – Fixed Term for six months, July to December 2018, Auckland Coronial Services

The Ministry of Justice established in 2007 a new National Coronial Service as part of the implementation of the Coroners Act 2006.  The Coronial Services Unit supports the work of the Chief Coroner and 17 full-time Coroners located across New Zealand.

As a Coronial Services Case Manager based in Auckland, you will be responsible for co-ordinating all matters referred to the Coroners both in Auckland and the Northern Region. You may also on occasion be called upon to assist with matters outside the Northern Region.

Responsibilities will include assembling all inquiry information and reports, circuit support for inquests, court taking and ensuring that all files are complete and accurate. In addition, you will be required to maintain all case management records in CMS as well as contribute to monitoring and reporting on the Coronial Services Unit activities.

You will need to maintain excellent relationships with both internal and external stakeholders as well as have exceptional interpersonal skills that will support your work with people under diverse and sometimes sensitive circumstances.

Some travel will be required on occasion as part of the role. A full New Zealand drivers license is required.

This is a challenging role that will allow you to utilise your administrative experience, people and relationship management skills to a high level and be part of the team that provides New Zealanders with a first-class Coronial Service.

The salary range for this role is: $48,974.00 to $66,258.00
